TYLER DIETTERICH PHOTOS | BY DAVIS TRINH

Tyler’s had this ollie over the chain idea for a while. It’s at a spot we’ve skated for years and I’ve honestly never really put much thought into it. The moment he mentioned it, I had terrible visions of his feet getting hung up on the chain. Tyler had to battle for it a little bit but avoided any real slams.

This backside 5-0 is also at another local spot we’ve skated for years. Mike Yandoli, manualed it in one of our older videos. I always thought there were some other possibilities but no one had tried anything else since. I wasn’t sure how well it was going to go considering it was the first time anyone had even waxed it let alone grind it. He stuck on the first 5050 pretty bad but after a few tries he got a real nice one. The 5-0 came a few tries later. He did it another time so Davis could get a shot without me lingering under the ledge with a fisheye.

WEDGEWOOD JAM 2014 | ANDREW MEYER

Meyer put together this rad clip from the Wedgewood Jam a few weekends back. I’m psyched to see these jams becoming a regular thing. Featuring Austin Chhinkhathork, Tyler Dietterich, Evan Breder, Dustin Detweiler and Joey O’Brien.

BURNT CAT | PHOTOS BY DAVIS TRINH

Some photos by Davis Trinh from a few weeks back in Philly. I haven’t been to this spot in years and I still have no idea how the name “Burnt Cat” stuck. It hasn’t gotten any easier to skate. It’s crazy to think this was a poplular spot at one point. Of course Collin Bauder found an unorthodox way of skating it. He turned the taildrop into a line with a hippie jump over the bench right after.

I can’t remember the little kids name but he was having a blast and really interested in trying out both mine and Collin Welch’s camera. Somebody asked him if he was going to be able to skate in sandals. He looked back with a stone cold face and said “These are Nike sandals.” No further questions were asked.
